Fret not. We’ll break it all down for you - from how much does physiotherapy cost, insurance coverage and our prices at FHYSIO. Let’s get started!

How much does Physiotherapy cost in Singapore?

Physiotherapy Singapore Cost

In short, most Physiotherapy sessions cost anywhere between $150 - $300 per session.

You might ask, why is there such a big price range?

Physiotherapists usually charge by the amount of time spent on the client per session, and session times can vary from place to place. Some Physiotherapists also charge by the individual treatments that were administered to the client.

If the patient is an elderly or a student, charges may be lower. On the other hand, for home therapy / house visits, or after-office hours, charges may be higher.

Key factors for Physiotherapy cost

Factors for physiotherapy cost

Below are some of the key factors that will determine the cost of your Physiotherapy treatment.

  • Time

  • Sessions required

  • Age

  • Treatment rendered

  • Place of therapy done (home or clinic)

In terms of place of treatment, restructured hospitals usually have the lowest cost for subsidised patients. However, if you are a private patient at a restructured hospital, you are likely paying the same as you would in a private hospital.

At first glance, prices might appear cheaper at a restructured hospital. BUT the duration of your session is much shorter with a longer waiting time. Private clinic charges may be higher but the duration spent with a Physiotherapist is much longer with no waiting time.

What you should ask about cost

Physiotherapy cost questions

When it comes to cost, always ask about the duration of the session, and how much time the Physiotherapist is going to spend with you.

Some clinics appeal to customers with low charges without explicitly stating the duration of session. You might get a shock when the Physiotherapist only spends about 15 mins with you in a 30 mins session.

Insurance for Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy Insurance team

Physiotherapy is usually covered by most health insurance, but patients may have to get a referral from their Doctor before seeing a Physiotherapist for the claim to be processed.

We would recommend patients to check with their insurer what is their recommended process.

At FHYSIO, we are well experienced with handling insurance cases. Should your insurer require need any report or letter from us after seeing our Physiotherapist, we can assist with that too!
